Where Have All the Fragrances Gone?

I’m sure all the readers have noticed the plummet in the number of the perfume related adverts in the early times of year... Considering the perfume houses are pumping out new scents almost every month, we have to ask ourselves: Where have they all gone?

Are they hibernating until September so they can have a rest before the big Christmas shift? Do we not buy perfume throughout the year? Does everyone smell unpleasantly when the ladies fragrances and men’s aftershave adverts have gone?

The answer is obvious! NO! So why is it that manufacturers think it will make any difference overloading our TVs with Perfume advertising in the last three months of the year will make us more likely to buy what we would not otherwise have bought?
Or is it actually a result of some research analysis that shows that when panic buying at the last minute, these images are “engraved” into our minds no matter what the price? And we are most likely to buy something we have seen advertised in the last couple of weeks? I sincerely hope not.

Surely, we loose out on some gorgeous ladies fragrances that are released throughout the year! Just because they were not born in the right month, or do not target wide enough audience they are not included and are therefore forgotten.

With Fragrance Wardrobes being a widespread term and more and more people having more than one favourite smell, it is very likely that people will stick with what they know. Presents are possibly another matter, but then again, would we not be more likely to purchase something like an old favourite rather than go out on a whim?!

So please, do what is right by you any time of year!
